First I will list the formulae for converting one unit to the other.
1m =100cm=1000mm
1km = 1000m
1km=1000m=1000*100cm=1000*1000mm
1inch=2.54cm
1foot=30.48cm
1foot=12inches
1m=1.09361 yard
1furlong=660 foot
Now I want to get to convert into different units.
Convert yard to km
1 yard = 1/1000*1.09361 km
Convert furlong to inch
1 furlong=660 * 12 inch
Convert yard to inch
1yard=1/1.09361m=0.91440276m=254*0.91440276inches
Now I’m going to measure my piano and convert the length into multiple units. I took a ruler and measured it with my mommy s help.
Length of piano= 2ft 8inches
= 32inches
= 2*30.48+2.54*8cm=60.96+20.32=81.28cm
=0.812m
Now I conclude my thoughts on conversion by making this exercise meaningful,I can use this info to move my piano to a different spot if I needed to. Lol!

Good post again. Love the piano application.
This is a learning opportunity, please don’t take it personally. I’ve seen engineers do this mistake and even NASA did it.
I sometimes receive specifications in my work from engineers with inconsistent values – so my job would be to figure out which is right, when it’s not practical to go back and measure again.
Your piano is either 32 inches or 101.6 cm or 0.1016 m. They are all different physical lengths!!!
In a case like this, we use past experience or look if there is a standard length. Or use your original unit of measurement and build for 32 inches = 81.28 cm or if inexpensive, build for the longest length rounded to 102 cm or 40 inches.
Don’t mind my long comments. I’m too excited.
Usually I check my work now on I’ll be careful thanks for noticing I corrected it mama
