28: Memoir on one month of blogging

It’s been a month since I started blogging and in this time I have learned quite a few things. I’m going to list them below.

  • Books are just not a good learning resource but also can be good friends.
  • No one is perfect in their first attempt, it’s okay to make mistakes. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes. NASA also did not look at its work on mars orbit calculation. Google is misspelled name of googol. But that’s okay!
  • I’m being used to having a blog post every day and if I don’t write I don’t feel good, I say consistency is the key to forming good habits.
  • Books and internet are great resources but teachers and mentors guide us to go in the right direction.
  • Coding for sure is my favorite thing I learnt in this month.
  • Lastly the most important thing is learning that power of communication is in feeling connected to others and using language that is understood by others not using complex vocabulary.

I’m looking to improve my communication skills and learning to gain emotional intelligence through my writing here.

I’m signing off hoping to make this a good learning experience and also to have fun in the process.

I’m also thankful to everyone that has been reading my posts and encouraging me to write more.

  1. I love that your identifying that books and internet are only tools to learning because you are the one putting in the work everyday. I have found an app from Apple that uses coding that I am considering incorporating into my classroom this fall, maybe we can explore it together?

  2. Those are such important things to remember long-term! We definitely would not learn without so called “mistakes”, and do not “succeed” without continuing the very pursuit that is challenging us.

Side musing, because you mentioned emotional intelligence and universal communication- often times empathy is the root of a deeper level of understanding amongst people.

  3. Congratulations! It’s a good milestone. It’s also important to look back once in a while – great job and keep going. I love your blog posts. Perhaps you could write about milestones 🙂 next time.
