Today I’m going to write about how I write .
Here is my process.
I first pick a topic, then come up with my thoughts on that topic and then refine my thoughts and then write drafts, read and review and once I’m impressed with it I publish.
Finding a Topic
First of all, I look for different topics to write about. I’m always thinking about something or observing others or observing the environment or observing others situations. More patterns or more in-depth topics gain my attention. Now a days I’m also thinking how I would respond if I were in a certain situation and that would be something I write about. For sure some of my day today conversations are some of my topics.
Basically any thing I come across becomes a potential topic for me to write.
Elaborate the topic
Here there are two types, formal and informal. Blog posts are mostly informal and I do not spend lot on preparation . This form of my writing is mostly instantaneous.
I also do formal writing like short stories and that gets more time and thinking. Once I think about the story outline I then start writing and writing details. Some times I don’t like what I write and then decide to change my outline or keep it but say change the plot. This is the difficult step and needs patience and grit to make it to finish line.
Some times taking a break or playing on my iPad or just reading or rereading helps. Yes my instinct is my guide on next steps.
Once I finish I have some one read and give feedback before I publish.
The feedback I get on my blog posts and all other writing is my fuel to write more. It gives me confidence and connects me with my readers. I feel accomplished and aspire to write more and more with great quality and content. Really more feedback and more support is incomparable to anything else.
My motto – ordinary people look at everything and they get on ; but authors look at everything and they react with their writing.
I’m an author and I react !

Really nice post. I enjoyed this a lot. Your ending reminds me of a quote by Carl Sagan – the cure for boredom is curiosity. For curiosity, there is no cure!
In fact, after reading your post, I’m inspired to write something myself. Lol.
That’s awesome go ahead and write mama, I am so excited to read your writing. Book me as your good reader .
I love the ending because it’s all about in depth thinking. People who observe and question are the real master minds!
