  1. It’s so impressive that you are such self aware. It’s a really important skill. Recognizing a certain behavior and wanting to correct it of course the first step. Creating barriers to that behavior is a technique to trick your mind – the brain is programmed to be lazy. If your ipad has no charge and is always at the farthest corner in your house, you will end up using it less.

    I used such techniques to avoid procrastinating during grad school and it helped me a lot. I had a computer which didn’t even have internet so at that computer I had nothing else I could do except to work on my thesis.
