Don’t let schooling interfere with your education.
– Mark Twain
This is an interesting quote I came across. I’m going to share my interpretation of this and ask you all to share yours too.
Analyzing this statement, I think Mark Twain is essentially pointing out that all education does not happen in schools alone. There really are more skills that are not taught in school. For example, the art of grit will have to be nurtured in all walks of life. And one should not assume everything is learnt in school.
He says schooling interferes with education if everyone only learns what is written in books. Keep learning with an open mind and think to apply your knowledge. Let your education be an enlightening experience to you and also to others around you.

Well said. Sometimes the goal of students in school is to get good grades by rote and not learn and understand. It could also be referring to that.
